Room by room

Pickering Casino Resort's hotel has 275 rooms, 22 of them accessible. Its Accessible King Room, 388 sq ft and near the elevators, has one lowered king bed and a 34-inch doorway. It also has a roll-in shower with a bath bench and grab bars, a lowered towel bar and raised toilet seats. The Accessible Executive Suite, about 775 sq ft on the top 14th floor, has a king bed, a pull-out sofa bed and a roll-in shower.

Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto's 400-room hotel offers the Racetrack Accessible King, the Premium Accessible Two Queen and Accessible Corner Suites. The hotel calls them wheelchair accessible, with a roll-in shower 60 inches wide and a fixed shower seat. Grab bars sit in the shower and near the toilet at 29 inches, and the raised toilet seat is 15 inches high.

Great Blue Heron's hotel has 116 rooms. Its King Accessible room, 325 sq ft, and King Suite, 696 sq ft, both have an accessible bathroom with roll-in showers. Pickering publishes a count of accessible rooms; Toronto and Great Blue Heron do not.

Rules at all three hotels

The same rules apply at the three casino hotels. Anyone 19 or older can make a reservation. Check-in begins at 4 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM. Service animals are not charged pet fees, though a cleaning fee may apply for soiling or damage.

Casino Ajax and Elements Casino Mohawk have no hotel, so neither offers rooms of any kind. Casino Ajax publishes no accessibility details of its own and can be reached toll free at 1-866-445-3939. Elements Casino Mohawk does not publish any either; its phone is 905-854-4053.
